Hello church...

Just a little update from me on all things youth ministry! This will also be my last INSight for a while as I head on maternity leave.

The young people are currently in the midst of exam season, and there are a number of them doing GCSEs and A-Levels this year, so please do keep them in your prayers as they go through their exams and await their results in the summer.

We’ve had some great conversations in Rooted recently; we are following the same preaching series as the church, on prayer. It’s also been wonderful to see the young people growing in confidence as they pray together in a group. In LIFE youth group recently, we have been doing some Bible studies around different themes including wise decisions, character and comparison. We’ve had some really good, honest conversations about these topics. There has been a lovely group dynamic recently too, as they’ve been getting to know each other more – they especially love an energetic game at the beginning of the evening!

As I mentioned in my previous INSight, youth group will be moving to a Friday night while I am on maternity leave (see the poster for more details!) It’s being led by Laura Haghparast and Margaret Bally. Friday Night youth club will be on for the month of June, then starting officially in the new academic year, in September.

There are some exciting plans for the summer holidays, as Kathryn Kane is going to be running something different for the young people every Tuesday afternoon. Keep your eyes peeled for further details on this!

Please do continue to keep all things youth ministry in your prayers. We are so grateful to the team of volunteers who are all getting themselves involved in lots of different ways while I am on maternity leave. So, whatever your support looks like, whether it’s through volunteering or through prayer – thank you!

God bless you all Katie Canning
